Dawn A.C. Welch, 85, of Bowler, passed away on Dec. 27, 2020. Dawn was born July 1, 1935, to the late Otto G. and Roberta (Lamb) Hass in Shawano. In 1953, she began employment with Northwestern Life Insurance Company in Milwaukee. On Feb. 6, 1954, she was united in marriage to Ralph Welch at Old Stockbridge Presbyterian Church. In 1985, they moved from Milwaukee to Bowler. Dawn enjoyed quilting and sewing, traveling with family and camping. She loved her family dearly and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Dawn is survived by her husband of 66 years, Ralph; children, Kathleen Marie (Angel) Fuentes, of Milwaukee, David Allan Welch, of Minnesota, Gregory Scott Welch, of Milwaukee, Peggy Jean (Jeff) Lemke, of Bowler, and Bobbie Jo Welch, of Wittenberg; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a sister, Beverly Oleson, of Wausau. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Dawn was preceded in death by two daughters, Lisa Faye Welch and Linda Mae Kohler; her parents, Otto and Roberta Hass; two brothers, Arthur Hass and Corlis Hass; and a sister, Lucy Bowerstock.
A memorial service for Dawn will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2021, at the Old Stockbridge Presbyterian Church. Inurnment will be in the Old Stockbridge Presbyterian Cemetery in the spring. Visitation will be held at the church from noon until the time of service.
