Cynthia Loberger

Cynthia Loberger, 62, Sobieski, died peacefully Friday evening, Sept. 20, 2013, at a Green Bay nursing home, following a long illness. The daughter of Carl and Jean (Retzlaff) Soberg was born April 16, 1951, in Chicago. The family moved to Three Lakes when she was in high school. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Superior, Cindy moved to Green Bay, where she met her future husband, Jerome, at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio. Cindy and Jerry were married in April 1988 and moved to Pulaski and later to Sobieski. She had been employed by the state of Wisconsin for 17 years, working in vocational rehabilitation. Cindy was a great cook and a fantastic wife and mom. Survivors include her husband; a daughter and son, Katie Loberger, Sobieski, and Michael Loberger, a junior at UW-Stout; her mother, Jean Soberg, Rothschild; sister, Sue (George) Hiles, Wausau; brother, Steve Soberg, Plover; her father-in-law, Donald Loberger, Oconto Falls; a sister-in-law, Pat (Dave) Lindsten, Oconto. She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Soberg, in 2010 and her mother-in-law, Lorraine Loberger, in 2013. Friends may call from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at Assumption B.V.M. Church, 119 E. Pulaski St., Pulaski. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Bob Konkol, O.F.M., presiding. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.
