The Lena Lions Club honored Logan Shallow, son of Rich and Jenni Shallow, as student of the month for October. The award was presented by Lion Ben Pyteleski, district administrator and elementary principal of the Lena Public Schools.
Logan is a senior at Lena High School where he is a member of the National Honor Society and Lena High Band. Logan is an enthusiastic athlete and uses skills on the Lena High football, baseball, and basketball teams. His friends describe him as gentle, committed, and agreeable.
Logan’s hobbies are hunting and weightlifting. His community activities include helping at the National Honor Society Food Drive, St. Anne’s Food Pantry, helping with the religious education program at St. Annes Parish, and Love Begins Here community service.
Logan’s work experience includes cutting grass at the St. Annes Cemetery and working at Lena Swamp Archery.
Logan plans on attending the University of Wisconsin-Platteville to earn a degree in electrical engineering and play college basketball.
