Burgers and more helping woman’s club scholarship efforts

The Shawano Woman’s Club (SWC) is having a scholarship fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 5 at Qualheim’s True Value, 1345 E. Green Bay St., Shawano. Club members will be selling brats, burgers, hot dogs and soda. Due to COVID-19, the club was unable to host its annual fashion show in May to raise funds for local scholarships. Every year, the SWC provides a $1,000 scholarship to a Shawano Community High School student and to a Northeast Wisconsin Technical College student. The SWC is looking forward to conducting the fashion show again in May 2022. The SWC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation that has been serving local communities since the mid-1800s. Members work together with a common interest of providing services in many diverse areas, from education to humanitarianism.
