Bonduel 3, Manawa 2
Bonduel and Manawa got caught up in an old-fashioned pitchers duel as Dakota Stroud and Noah Weier were both throwing strong games.
With the score tied 1-1 after five innings, Mason Zuleger reached on an error and scored when Easton Reinke also reached on an error. The Bears plated their final run when Mason Zuleger singled to score Charlie Tauchen with two outs in the seventh.
Manawa rallied to make the score 3-2 with the winning run on second base, but Weier got a big strikeout to end the game.
Bonduel’s three hits were by Weier, Tauchen and the game winner by Zuleger.
Bonduel is 16-3 this year and 10-1 in CWC East play.
West De Pere 6, Shawano 0
Carsen Herm hit 1-for-3 with a double for Shawano’s only hit in a shutout loss to the Phantoms of West De Pere.
Herm and Warner Beyer scored the Hawks’ two runs.
Tom Keszo took the loss on the mound, giving up six runs, all earned, on four hits in 3 1/3 innings. He struck out three and walked five.
Ayden Bystol pitched the final 2 2/3 innings, giving up one hit while striking out two and walking one.
