Bonduel boys take fourth in Wausau

Bonduel’s boys finished in fourth place with 53 pants at the Wausau West Boys Warrior Invitational on April 5. Shawano was fifth with 47 points, Menominee Indian placed seventh with 32 points, and Wittenberg-Birnamwood was 11th with no score. Ben O’Brien led the Bears with a first place in the 3,200-meter run in 11:25.45. O’Brien placed third in the 1,600-meter run, while Oliver Chitwood was ninth. The 4x800-meter relay team placed second, with the 4x160 team in sixth, and the 4x400 team in seventh. Samuel Roberts finished in third in the long jump and seventh in the triple jump. Ryan Westrich placed third in the shot put and sixth in the 200-meter dash. Griffin Uelmen placed firth in the high jump. Shawano’s top finisher was Trevor Schwartz, who placed second in the 800-meter run. The 4x160-meter relay team grabbed third place, with the 4x800 team taking fourth, and the 4x400 team placing sixth. Ryan Shanty finished fourth in the long jump, and Lucas Nuthals placed fourth in the 55-meter dash. Josiah Kuehl was fourth in the 1,600-meter run, and Schwartz was sixth. Coming in fifth the 200-meter dash was Logan Korth. Maverick Theis was ninth. Shanty came in sixth place in the 400-meter dash, and Joshua Lesperance finished in ninth. James Lange was ninth in the 55-meter hurdles. Brian Waupoose led the Eagle with a pair of first-place finishes. His time of 57.71 was best in the 400-meter dash, and he completed the 800-meter run in 2:33.38. Waupoose was fifth and Kenew Awonohopay was ninth in the high jump, although both recorded the same height of 5 feet 4 inches. Awonohopay placed fourth in the triple jump and seventh in the long jump. Mitchell Perez finished seventh in the 200-meter hurdles, and the 4x160-meter relay team was ninth. Wittenberg-Birnamwood recorded a pair of 12th-place spots. Those went to Will Peters in the 400-meter dash and Marty Nowinsky in the 1,600-meter run. kpasson@newmedia-wi.com
