Boho Belle Boutique hearkens as a small-town boutique with a big heart, featuring cozy, inspired, everyday pieces. In fact, owner Amber Beechy claims there’s something for everyone there.
Launching her storefront shop last November at 217 N. Main St. in Shawano, Beechy features clothing she herself would feel comfortable in.
“There’s nothing in this store I wouldn’t wear myself,” said Beechy. “There is clothing for every woman, no matter what season of life they are in, and if it’s in Boho Belle, it has passed the ‘Amber’ test. My heart and soul have been invested into my place.”
Beechy intentionally selects the clothing styles she offers, from small to 4XL. Also offered at her shop are unique jewelry pieces, hats, purses, earrings, sunglasses and shoes.
A contact had a space to rent, and the party approached Beechy of its availability. Not having a storefront for a couple of months (until the space was cleared), Beechy joined in popup events around Shawano to stay visible, keeping her boutique showcased before getting her own space.
With no hired help, Beechy runs her shop on her own, yet she depends on friends and family when the need arises.
“I don’t know what I’d do without good friends and dear family,” said Beechy. “They help so much with advice and counsel and support when I need anything. Also, my husband, Donald, helped with the demolition and remodeling and carting the stock in the shop.
“Every rack, every display, every little corner of this shop is something I’ve spent so much time dreaming about, rearranging, tweaking and making feel just right.”
Wanting Boho Belle to feel like a place her customers could walk into and instantly experience inspiration took planning and pondering — much like a real-life Pinterest board.
The name “Boho” implies styles showcasing knits, embroidery and florals — a more freeing, less restrictive and comfortable style of clothing.
“My husband’s nickname for me was ‘Southern Belle.’ So together, with the Bohemian freestyle-clothes, I came up with Boho Belle Boutique,” said Beechy.
Struggling with mental health issues for a couple of years, Beechy worked at Buckle, a clothing shop in the Appleton Fox River Mall. She realized that helping others find the style that fits them, making customers feel confident and bringing a smile to their faces actually helped her feel better herself. Deciding then she could start her own shop, she launched Boho Belle Boutique.
Expounding on her desire to help improve the mental health of others, Beechy created a space called The Rooted Project, meeting at her boutique the first Sunday of the month for community and connection. Beechy brings in guest speakers, or those gathering there sometimes play games, do crafts and enjoy fellowship. Men, women and children are welcome.
Desiring to help others, Beechy said, “There’s not really any place besides therapy to let people just talk. I’m not giving my advice on anything. We do crafts; we may meet at a local restaurant to have dinner — just to make and be a friend who can relate in the same way.”

Beechy hopes to keep growing exposure for her store via her social media presence.
“TikTok is a great way to reach more followers. Someday I may have another storefront, depending if I have any other helpers,” said Beechy.
The Beechys have three children: Henley, 11; Waylon, 8; and Rosalynn, 3.
“Boho Belle became more than just a boutique to me,” said Beechy. “It became a place where I poured my creativity, my heart and my faith. It reminded me that even after the hardest chapters, beautiful things can still grow. Looking back now, I’m so grateful I kept going. Sometimes the version of you that felt the most lost is the same version that leads you exactly where you were meant to be.”
Upcoming events Boho Belle Boutique is involved with include Shop Shawano, a free fashion soiree from 5-7:30 p.m. April 1 at Stubborn Brothers’ Brewery, 220 S. Main St., Shawano. On May 14, Beechy will showcase her wares at the Shawano Woman’s Club Fashion Show, to be held at 10:30 a.m. at Northwinds Banquet Hall, 1108 N. Main St., Marion.
