Bertie Regina “Jeanne” Asenbrenner, 72, of Shawano, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021, after suffering a massive stroke. Jeanne was born Jan. 30, 1949, to the late Britton and Annie Mae (Helms) Morris in Florida and grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina. On July 12, 1980, Jeanne was united in marriage to John A. Asenbrenner in Madison.
Jeanne was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Leopolis, where she taught high school catechism. Jeanne was also a member of the Lions Club for many years, loved traveling, photography and fostering dogs. She loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Jeanne is survived by her husband of 40 years, John; children, Michael Asenbrenner, of Madison, and Ronda (Lance) Otey, of Texas; grandchildren, Abigayle (Nick), Samantha, Morgan, Elijah and James; and siblings, Wayne (Kathleen) Morris, Diane Martin, Ray (Cindy) Morris, JoAnn Ellis, Reneé (Freddie Drake) Adam, Darrell (Bonita) Morris. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved dog, Higgins.
