For the second day in a row, Bonduel waited until its last at bat to score the only run of the game.
This time, Easton Reinke led off the bottom of the seventh inning with a double. Then, after an intentional walk to Brodie Hartmann, Karson Stoss stepped up to the plate to get the game-winning hit. Stoss smacked a single to right center and scored Reinke from second with the only run of the game, a 1-0 regional title win over Wittenberg-Birnamwood.
Cade Johnson and Chris Sippl both threw outstanding games and matched zeroes unto the seventh.
Johnson pitched all seven innings, giving up three hits. He walked two and struck out 10.
Sippl pitched 6 1/3 innings, giving up one run and three hits. He walked two and struck out six.
Johnson struck out the side in the top of seventh to set up the Bonduel rally in the bottom half of the inning.
Reinke and Hartmann had doubles for the Bears, and Stoss had the game-winning single.
Nate Waupekenay had two hits for the Chargers, and Ian Salveson had a single.
The Bears advance to sectional play June 4 with a 21-3 record.
Three Lakes/Phelps 7, Lena 3
Lena was defeated 7-3 by Three Lakes/Phelps in the WIAA regional final.
The Wildcats were in fifth place with a 5-7 mark in the Marinette & Oconto Conference and were 9-9 overall.
