Five hits by the Chargers and five errors by the Hornets contributed to a 9-0 shutout win for Wittenberg-Birnamwood’s baseball team.
Milo Salvesen had a double for the Chargers.
Connor Meverden was one of three pitchers for the Chargers, and he earned the win with four strikeouts and two walk in three innings.
Notre Dame 13, Shawano 3
Shawano held a 1-0 lead after its top half of the first inning and again led 3-2 after its top half of the third, but Notre Dam’s nine runs across two innings in the middle of the game sealed the 13-3 win for the Tritons.
It was the season opener for the Shawano baseball team.
