WBHS seeking successful grads to speak at commencement

The worthwhile accomplishments of Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School alumni will again be recognized this year at the class of 2026 commencement ceremony.

Residents of the Wittenberg-Birnamwood School District and all alumni of Wittenberg-Birnamwood schools are invited to make nominations. Nominations must be in writing, signed by the nominator and in the hands of principal Megan Rothmeyer by Feb. 6. In addition, the nomination must include qualifications of the person nominated and the year he or she graduated from WBHS.

To be nominated for this award, the individual must have distinguished himself or herself in an area of honorable endeavor, whether it be a professional, vocational, business or military field. Documentation that clearly explains the scope and significance of a candidate’s accomplishments must be included.

The final selection for this honor will be made by a committee composed of Rothmeyer, two members of the high school faculty and officers of the senior class. The honored alumnus will be asked to present a short message to the graduating class of 2026 in May.
