Waupaca blanks Cecil to stay unbeaten in Dairyland

July 6 Waupaca 2, Cecil 0 Cecil held the Dairyland League-leading Lakemen to two runs and four hits but couldn’t come up with any of their own. Winning pitcher Cam Seidl allowed two hits and struck out nine batters, while Tucker Bouche took the loss for Mudhens. Luke Behm had three of Waupaca’s four hits. Jake Sager, Braden Uelmen and Noah Beilfuss had a hit each for Cecil, and the Mudhens turned two double plays. Hofa Park 7, Navarino 2 Brinton Anderson had three hits to help the Panthers pick up a road win over the Rangers. Anderson’s hits included a home run to center field in the fifth inning and singles in the first and third. He gave the Panthers the early lead with an RBI single in the top of the first inning, and Nick Volz added a three-run homer in the third. Anderson’s two-run shot in the fifth gave the visitors a 6-0 lead before Kyle Mrocynski put the Rangers on the scoreboard with a two-run home run over the left-field fence in the eighth inning. Heinrich Walder picked up the win for the Panthers after allowing six hits and two runs over eight innings. Owen Weber took the loss for Navarino after giving up six runs in 4 1/3 innings. Anderson and Ethan Volz each had three of Hofa Park’s 11 hits, and both players drove in three runs. Peyton Dorn added two hits. Adam Beilfuss led the Rangers with two hits while batting in the No. 9 spot. Bonduel 4, Pulaski 2 Pulaski outhit the Broncos 8-6, but they came up on the short end of a 4-2 score. Winning pitcher Chase Reinke went the distance for the Broncos and gave up two runs on seven hits while striking out four batters. Reinke also led Bonduel with two of his team’s six hits. J.C. Reinke drove in two of the Broncos’ runs. The 46th annual Bonduel Broncos Invitational began July 7 with first-round games. The raffle drawing will take place during the championship game on Friday, July 11. Nichols 10, Marinette 2 Justin Krull had three hits to help lead the Nitros over the Redbirds in Nichols. Krull’s hits included doubles in the second and fourth innings and a single in the seventh. Jacob Vannett drove in a pair of runs for Nichols with a single in the second inning before Krull added an RBI double. Winning pitcher Javon Leisgang gave up nine hits and two runs over nine innings, while Sean Christenson took the loss for Marinette. He allowed eight runs and eight hits over 6 1/3 innings. Lucas Leisgang and Will Debrune each collected multiple hits for Nitros. Tyler Olsen, Braeden McMahon and Noah Nosqovitz each had two of Marinette’s 11 hits. July 2 Navarino 5, Bonduel 4 Mason Dingeldein’s double drove in Owen Weber with the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Rangers a walk-off win over the Broncos. Dingeldein drove in Navarino’s first run in the third inning after Spencer Dauphinee drew a leadoff walk and moved to third on Ben Prodell’s double. Dawson Schmidt followed with a two-run double to give the home team a 3-0 lead. Dingeldein scored the Rangers’ fourth run in the fifth inning after Schmidt hit into a fielder’s choice. Bonduel answered with three runs in the sixth inning before tying the game at 4-4 in the eighth. Weber led off Navarino’s half of the ninth inning with a walk and moved to second on Prodell’s sacrifice bunt before scoring on Dingeldein’s double. Schmidt led the Rangers with three RBIs, while Dingeldein added two hits and a pair of RBIs. Adam Frost and Easton Reinke had two of the Broncos’ eight hits. Jack Reinke took the loss for Bonduel despite striking out 11 batters. Cecil 9, Pulaski 4 The Mudhens scored five runs in the first inning and went on to pick up a road win over the Reds. The score remained 5-0 until Cecil added four more runs in the top of the sixth inning to go up 7-0. Two of the runs scored on a single from Garrett Engel. The Reds scored all four of their runs in the bottom of the ninth inning. Noah Beilfuss allowed four hits over six innings to get the win on the mound. Engel and Beilfuss had three of Cecil’s 15 hits, while Braden Uelman, Easton Engel and Reese Stoltenow added two each.
