The Bond Community Center in Oconto has received a generous $27,000 donation to support the Emplify Health by Bellin Kids’ Triathlon and bring a new toddler tumbling room to the fitness center thanks to grant from the Leon H. and Clymene M. Bond Foundation.
This is the fourth year the center has received a grant from the Bond Foundation. The current grant was applied through the Bellin Health Foundation, which will assist in managing the one-year grant for $27,000.
“Receiving this grant is a true honor and we are excited to put it to good use,” said Julie Bulin, vice president for Emplify Health by Bellin Oconto Hospital. “With these funds we can continue providing great opportunities for people of all ages to get excited about health and wellness within our community. “
A portion of the funds will be dispersed to the fourth annual kids’ triathlon, as well as establishing a toddler tumbling room that will allow families a safe and enjoyable outlet for their younger kids to exercise and have fun.
The center offers health and fitness programs designed for various ages and skill levels in a welcoming and friendly environment. From high-intensity training to cooling down in low-impact aquatic exercise classes, the center is a recreational and wellness facility that serves the residents of Oconto and neighboring communities.
