• Martin W.J. Penass, 37, Keshena, pleaded no contest Jan. 21 to two counts of felony bail jumping and two misdemeanor charges of operating a motor vehicle while his license was revoked. Judge Katherine Sloma levied fines and court costs and sentenced him to 90 days in county jail.
• Jeremy W. Heise, 40, Suring, pleaded guilty Jan. 22 to possession of narcotic drugs and possession of methamphetamine. Judge William Kussel Jr. sentenced him to nine months in jail concurrent to a sentence he is already serving at Dodge Correctional Institution in Waupun after his probation was revoked in an Oconto County case.
• Nicole L. Bessert, 33, Keshena, was charged Jan. 20 with possession of drug paraphernalia to produce methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and two counts of felony bail jumping. Kussel set a $1,000 cash bond and scheduled a preliminary hearing for Jan. 28.
• Steven Lee Quasius, 60, Suring, was charged Jan. 20 with possession of THC (second or subsequent offense). Kussel set a $200 signature bond and scheduled a status conference for April 7.
• Jackson Vaughn Zhuckkahosee, 17, Keshena, was charged Jan. 22 with four counts of felony bail jumping and misdemeanor counts of possession of THC and possession of drug paraphernalia. Kussel set a $1,000 cash bond and scheduled a status conference for March 31.
• Walker R. Miller, 30, Bowler, was charged Jan. 22 with hit-and-run causing injury. Kussel set a $1,000 signature bond and scheduled a status conference for March 26.
• Kane A. Peters, 19, Shawano, was charged Jan. 22 with five counts of felony bail jumping. Kussel set a $2,500 cash bond and scheduled a status conference for Feb. 25.
