Sally J. Hunt, 88, of Gillett, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2025.
Sally was born Oct. 6, 1937, to the late Chester and Carol (Mikkelson) Arveson. She attended Frostville School and graduated from Suring High School with the class of 1955. After graduation, she worked as a secretary for Morley-Murphy Company in Green Bay for 3.5 years.
On May 30, 1959, Sally married Robert Hunt at Maple Valley Community Church. She worked at the Suring State Bank for 40 years. After Sally and Bob retired, the couple enjoyed many memorable trips together.
She was an active member of Maple Valley Community Church, serving in many roles including as pianist for 47 years. Sally loved music and was an avid gardener; she was especially proud of her lawn. She also loved watching and “coaching” the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers.
Sally is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Kreevich; two grandchildren, Mike Kreevich and Kelly (Jessie) Sell; two great-grandchildren, Jase and Remy Sell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; son-in-law, Mark Kreevich; great-granddaughter, Rosy Sell; brothers, Kenneth and Roger Arveson.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2026, at Maple Valley Community Church from 9 a.m. until the memorial service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Andrew Jantz officiating. Sally will be interred privately at Hickory Cemetery beside Bob.
