Patrick Patterson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patrick Neil Patterson, a genuinely good guy to all who knew him, who left us unexpectedly Nov. 1, 2025, at the age of 66.

Born on June 27, 1959, to Dr. Neil and Amanda (Arendt) Patterson in Milwaukee, Pat was a true Wisconsinite through and through, proud of his Badgers, Brewers and Packers, often seen in his signature red Wisconsin Badgers jacket, keeping a close eye on whatever game was on.

Pat had a 25-year career as a police officer with the Milwaukee Police Department, where his kindness, humility and easy-going nature made him a trusted figure among his colleagues and the community. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Mary (Renneisen), and an incredibly proud dad to his children, Garrett and Brenna. Recently, Pat embraced a new role as grandpa, and his face would light up whenever he shared stories about Brenna’s little ones.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mary; mother, Amanda; children, Brenna (Ben) Tanko and Garrett Patterson; grandchildren, Calvin Neil and Archie Lee; grandpup, Winston; and other extended family and friends. Pat will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Pat was preceded in death by his father, Neil.

A visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, Nov. 17, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls. A celebration of life will follow from 3-5 p.m. at Romy’s Holiday Inn at Kelly Lake.

A memorial fund will be established in Pat’s name for the MPA Fallen Heroes Fund.
