Where’s WAMSCO?

The Waterways Association of Menominee and Shawano Counties is holding its fourth annual Where’s WAMSCO event. The scavenger hunt began June 15 and continues through July 20. This is a family friendly scavenger hunt within the borders of Shawano County. There are four “treasure boxes” placed strategically in recreational areas along waterways. Each location showcases a different area of natural resources in Shawano County and has some fun facts about that area. There is a token prize to take at each site. For participants who find all four treasure boxes, there will be a raffle drawing for prizes donated by local businesses. WAMSCO will post weekly clues for each of the four locations on its website and social media sites. Registration is open for the event through July 20. Participants must register prior to submitting proof of discovering all four boxes and to be entered into the prize drawing. A registration link can be found at www.wamsco.org/events/wheres-wamsco, on the group’s social media pages or by scanning the QR code on its posters. The treasure boxes are all labeled with the WAMSCO logo and have a WAMSCO logo standing sign; nothing will need to be disturbed to find them.
