Division 1, Notre Dame
Pulaski’s Brady Hayward qualified for the state golf meet as an individual after carding a 76 (tied for third best score) at Thornberry Creek in Hobart for the WIAA golf sectionals.
Hayward led his team to a third-place finish with a 318, just three strokes behind Bay Port, which advanced to the state meet along with sectional champion De Pere.
Also scoring for the Red Raiders were Dixon Holewinski and Bradin Schultz, each with an 80, and Casey Medlam with an 82. Nathan Jossie also carded a 90.
Shawano’s Blake Knope, who competed at sectionals as an individual, scored an 80. He was among six golfers to hit the mark.
Shawano’s TJ Smith scored a 102.
Division 2, Seymour
Oconto Falls tied for seventh place with a 361 at Crystal Springs in Seymour.
Kadyn Riel led the Panthers with an 82. He was followed by Dylan Clark with an 87, Carson McDermid with a 94 and Brock McDermid with a 98.
Playing as an individual, Menominee Nation/Gresham’s Anik Corn carded a 97.
Division 3, Bonduel
Bonduel’s golf team advanced to the state meet after winning the sectional championship at Golden Sands in Cecil.
The Bears won with a 353. Marathon and Oconto tied for second with a 354, but Marathon won the tiebreaker and also advanced to state as a team.
Lena placed fifth with a 359, and Marion was sixth at 366.
Jaxon Bogacz led the Bears with an 83. He was joined by Colin Fischer’s 85, Cole Westphal’s 87 and Griffin Uelmen’s 98. Cory Wussow carded a 100.
Lena’s Mason Belongia was an individual qualifier for state with his 81. Also scoring for the Wildcats were Cooper Demmith with a 90, Mason Spice and Tanner Behnke each with a 94. Vance Turecek had a 100.
Marion’s scores were Elijah Scheef with 89, Brady Malueg with 90, Collin Grogan with 91 and James Nolan with 96. Jarren Faehling ceded a 105.
Gillett’s Parker Jenerou scored a 111.
