CLUB NOTES: American Legion Post 44

American Legion Sylvan Post 44 spoke to students regarding the Great Depression. The Wabeno High School junior classes are currently learning about the Great Depression. Janet Newton, English Department director, had Legion members come give a presentation to the students. George Richards, commander, spoke on the Great Depression start and finish, Dust Bowl, Black Tuesday and a 12-year-old boy’s day during the Depression. Roger VandenLangenberg, Legion honor guard member, spoke to students about World War I, the Roaring 20s, and the sinking of the ship Lusitania.
