The Shawano Optimists, whose motto is “Friend of Youth,” recently welcomed 10 new members to its ranks.
The new members are Heidi Cartwright, Shawano Police Department; Shane Stange, Shawano Police Department; Kurt Krizan, Shawano School District; Wendy Rabideau, ThedaCare; William Traber, Shawano School District; Thomas Dechant, Shawano School District; Cyndi Pavelski, Shawano School District; Dalton Parson, Thrivent; Sydney Schreiber, Shawano Family Dentistry; and Kristine Rankin, Radco Corporation.
Commenting on the importance of having new members join the Optimists, President Jen Schroeder said, “Our club is thrilled to welcome this tremendously talented group of new members to our club. Their vibrant energy and common vision will make a positive difference in the lives of the children in our area.
“As ‘Friends of Youth,’ they infuse a wealth of enthusiasm and skills as we work together serving our area’s youth through donations, service projects and youth events,” Schroeder continued. “We are all excited to share with them the benefits of Optimism, including skill development opportunities, networking with community partners and the chance to enjoy fun and fellowship with other club members.”
