Creator’s blessings fill life with all you need

I was asked if I would write letter telling the readers what I am thankful for. Well, where do I start?

I would have to say waking up every morning, always a good start. Thankful for the ability to give thanks to the Creator and Mother Earth every day. Then the obvious — my family, my wife, Jackie, of 38 years, and our two sons, two beautiful daughters-in-law and their families, which include four granddaughters.

Revised courthouse building plans unveiled

Revised building plans for the Shawano County Courthouse, justice center and jail were unveiled at the Nov. 19 meeting of the county board.

Cory Beyer, of Venture Architects, said the new plan would have the buildings constructed adjacent to the current courthouse and jail.

Shawano Santa Parade set for Dec. 5

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, Shawano’s Santa Parade isn’t far behind.

The annual event, sponsored by Charlie’s County Market, will be held at 6 p.m. Dec. 5.

“Songs of Christmas” is the 2025 theme.
