Neopit picks up BABA road win over Clintonville

East/West Division June 1 Caroline 9, Tilleda 2 Jared Cartwright, Cole Rosenow and Kade Rosenow each had two hits to help lead the Cougars over the Woodchucks in a matchup of BABA East/West Division teams. Klay Barkow struck out six batters over five innings while picking up the win on the mound and Zach Fehrman took the loss. Caroline’s Caleb Christopherson and Tilleda’s Brad Bartz added a double. Leopolis 12, Crandon 3 The Bulldogs headed to Crandon and returned home with a win over the Kentucks. Ryan Malueg struck out seven batters and held Crandon to six hits over five innings. Andrew Kristof led the Bulldogs at the plate with four hits, while Cody Urban and Jaden Stuhr added two each. Cole Kupfer and Matty Schallhorn led the Kentucks with three and two hits, respectively, and Mason Mullins took the loss. Menominee 7, Shawano 4 The Indians defeated the Lakers in Keshena. Details were not available. Neopit 8, Clintonville 4 The A’s hosted the Chiefs, but ended up on the short end of the final score. Mequan Frechette led Neopit at the plate with four hits, including a pair of doubles. Mike Pecore added three hits, while Bobby Peters and Walker Miller chipped in with two each. James Mutchie and Nathan Morse had two hits for Clintonville. Jamison Beasaw picked up the win after holding the A’s to two runs over seven innings, and Jaden Doornink took the loss after giving up nine nits and six runs in 4 2/3 innings. Marion was scheduled to host Gresham, but the game was postponed. May 30 Little Falls 19, Tigerton 3 Kal Fischer hit a pair of home runs in the Loggers’ win over the Tigers. Carter Kurki got the win on the mound and Justin Sivertson took the loss. Sivertson also had a double at the plate. North Division Aniwa 15, Wittenberg 0 (7 inn.) The Orioles had 13 hits in a shutout win over the Pilots. Wade Farmer, Denton Mortenson, Brady Martin and Gavin Steppert led Aniwa with two hits each, while Farmer and Jayden Karcz added a home run. Kody Szews picked up the win and Nathan Waupekenay took the loss on the mound. Elderon 6, Birnamwood 4 The Whiskey Jacks handed the Kings a two-run loss in Elderon. MacLaen Alwes hit a home run and finished with two of the Whiskey Jacks’ five hits. Mason Meverden, Brandon Resch and Ethan Graham each had two of Birnamwood’s eight hits, while Chase Krull homered. Kaleb Schulist picked up the win and Meverden took the loss. Antigo/Polar 19, Hatley 3 (8 inn.) Mason Grey and Reed Kuenzli each had four of Antigo/Polar’s 17 hits. Will Kubeny added three hits and winning pitcher AJ Kirsch had two. Ben Cumliffe took the loss for the Braves. Andrew Cotter and Tanner Kucher each had two of Hatley’s eight hits. South-Central Division New London 11, Plover 4 The Irish picked up a road win in the South-Central’s only scheduled game, as Weymont and Scandinavia had a bye. Ethan Herzfeldt had three hits and Cody Schmude and Tyler Gerrits added two each for New London. Josh Marcione, Jackson Fox and Brady Huston had a hit for the Pterodactyls.
