• Judge Katherine Sloma approved a prosecution motion to dismiss 2024 charges against Justin Daniel Lehman, 38, Peshtigo, on May 5, the day before he had been scheduled to stand trial, then refiled the charges of second-degree recklessly endangering safety and a misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct. Sloma scheduled an initial appearance for June 16.
• Kia J. Gaston, 20, Merrill, pleaded no contest May 5 to two counts of misdemeanor bail jumping and misdemeanor charges of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, operating while revoked, and resisting or obstructing an officer. The bail jumping charges were amended from felonies in a plea agreement. Judge William Kussel Jr. levied fines, revoked her license for 13 months and sentenced her to 30 days in the county jail.
• Jayden J. Escalante, 18, pleaded no contest May 5 to child abuse intentionally causing harm and two counts of felony bail jumping. Kussel imposed and stayed a prison sentence, then placed him on five years of probation with conditions.
• Joseph C. Gleason, 55, Merrill, pleaded no contest May 7 to possession of methamphetamine and two counts of felony bail jumping. Kussel levied fines and court costs and sentenced him to 132 days in jail.
• John J. Waubanascum, 53, Bowler, had his probation revoked Feb. 26 from a 2023 conviction for burglary and misdemeanor counts of theft and bail jumping. Sloma sentenced him May 8 to two years in prison followed by three years of extended supervision with conditions.
• Anthony J. Wallner, 37, pleaded no contest May 6 to battery or threat to a judge, prosecutor or law enforcement officer and two counts of misdemeanor bail jumping. Kussel imposed and stayed a prison sentence, then placed him on four years of probation with conditions.
• Jason R. Desjarlais, 44, Pulaski, was charged May 4 with substantial battery and a misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct. Kussel set a $500 cash bond and scheduled a status conference for July 7.
• Jay D. Rades, 61, Shawano, was charged May 4 with stalking and a misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct. Kussel set a $2,000 signature bond. In a separate file, Rades was charged with two counts of threatening to cause bodily harm to certain individuals involved in a court or legal system, along with misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct and resisting or obstructing an officer. Kussel set a $2,000 cash bond and scheduled a preliminary hearing in both cases for May 14.
• Cory A. Samson, 39, Shawano, was charged May 5 with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and a misdemeanor charge of carrying a concealed weapon. Kussel set a $1,000 cash bond and scheduled a status conference for July 16.
• Derek J. Wilke, 39, Shawano, was charged May 5 with two counts of felony bail jumping and a misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct. Kussel set a $750 cash bond a preliminary hearing for May 13.
• Justin A. Schneider, 27, Shawano, was charged May 6 with third-degree sexual assault. Kussel set a $1,500 cash bond. In a second file, Schneider was charged with first-degree child sexual assault of a person younger than 12, exposing himself to a child and a misdemeanor count of resisting or obstructing an officer. Kussel set a $50,000 cash bond and scheduled a status conference in both cases for June 16.
• Derrick R. Johnson, 28, Shawano, was charged May 6 with three counts of felony bail jumping and one count of misdemeanor bail jumping. Kussel set a $1,500 cash bond and scheduled a preliminary hearing for May 13.
• Nicole S. Madosh, 40, Keshena, was charged May 6 with possession of methamphetamine, three counts of felony bail jumping and misdemeanor counts of bail jumping, possession of an illegally obtained prescription and possession of drug paraphernalia. Kussel set a $500 cash bond and scheduled a preliminary hearing for May 18.
• David A. Bucki, 48, Cecil, was charged May 8 with battery to certain individuals involved with a court or legal system and misdemeanor counts of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (third offense) and resisting or obstructing an officer. Kussel set a $2,000 cash bond and scheduled a status conference for July 9.
