Elizabeth R. ‘Betsy’ Larson

Elizabeth R. Larson, who was known as Betsy, 85, of Shawano, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024, in De Pere. Betsy was born on Jan. 28, 1939, in Windham, Connecticut. She was the daughter of Foster Herbert and Virginia Evelyn (Pike) Richards. She grew up on a dairy farm, the third oldest of four daughters in Mansfield, Connecticut. They had 35 heads of dairy cows. When Betsy was 9, she started her lifelong care of a dairy herd.

Larry L. Jeske
The Honorable Larry L. Jeske, 84, Gillett, died Sunday morning, Dec. 15, 2024, with his son by his side. The only child of Victor and Emma (Padinger) Jeske was born Aug. 1, 1940, in Wausau. A man of great intellect and dedication, Larry graduated from Shawano High School before earning his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his law degree from Marquette University.

Magdaline 'Maggie' Smith
Magdaline “Maggie” Smith, 89, of Birnamwood, died on Monday, Dec. 9, 2024, at Cloverleaf Terrace in Birnamwood, under the care of Interim Hospice. Maggie was born on Nov. 7, 1935, in the Town of Rolling, the daughter of Joseph and Frances (Brunner) Servi. Maggie was one of the Servi triplets. Maggie graduated from Eau Claire River Grade School in the Town of Harrison, Marathon County, and then went to Antigo High School. On Jan.
Clark Lightfoot
Clark Lester Lightfoot, 15, of Lakewood, was called to rest in the Lord’s arms on the evening of Saturday Dec. 7, 2024, as the result of a single ATV accident. Clark was born March 27, 2009, in Minocqua, son to loving parents Seth and Naomi (DeWilde) Lightfoot. Clark attended Glenbrook Elementary School in Pulaski, followed by Pulaski Middle School and high school up until his freshman year.
Guenter Woosmann
Guenter Franz Gustav Woosmann, 86, of Gillett, passed away on Monday, Dec. 9, 2024, with family by his side. Guenter was born on Aug. 31, 1938, to the late Erich and Berta (Meckelburg) Woosmann in Elbing, Germany. Guenter joined the German navy at 19 years old and served for six years.
