Antigo 6, Pacelli 3
Wittenberg-Birnamwood’s Ethan Novy scored four of the Red Robins’ six goals as Antigo’s boys hockey team defeated Pacelli 6-3 in Antigo.
The Red Robins scored three goals in the first period, the first by Sheppard Snider at 10:40 with help from Billy Portman. Novy scored at 14:01 with an Alex Brittenham assist, and Liam Burt scored at 16:59.
The Cardinals scored at the start of the second period. Burt assisted Novy at 2:01 to go up 4-1, and Novy scored unassisted at 15:18 to put Antigo in the driver’s seat at 5-1.
Pacelli scored twice in the third period, but Novy found the back of the net again at 9:12 to put Antigo up 6-3; Burt and Richie Veriha assisted on the final goal.
In the net, Red Robins goalie Austin Martinson had 21 saves, while Cardinals goalie Aiden Olds had 44.
Each team was penalized twice, with Antigo serving four minutes and Pacelli serving seven minutes.
