Lena rolls out the red carpet for Thunder on Main

Before the dirt started flying at the Dirt City Motorplex in Lena on July 25-26, drivers and their cars made their way to downtown Lena for the annual Thunder on Main event where residents and visitors were treated to a close-up look at the cars and a chance to meet the drivers. There are three more stops in the AMSOIL Championship Off-Road season.

Craig, 40, Oconto, pleaded no contest May 20 to attempted battery to certain individuals involved with a court or legal system and a misdemeanor charge of resisting or obstructing an officer. Judge Jay Conley imposed and stayed a prison sentence July 20, then placed him on two years of probation with conditions.

A dog found with multiple bullet wounds and other injuries is making a slow but steady move toward a happy ending but is not out of the woods yet, while the Shawano County Sheriff’s Department is still investigating who might have caused him harm.
