Troy Krause is returning home – sort of.
Krause, who grew up in Shawano, will be the new superintendent of the Bowler School District effective July 1, according to a news release from the Bowler School Board.
“Krause joins the district with an impressive administrative background, having held leadership roles in Cuba City and, most recently, serving as a (elementary school) principal within the Lomira School District,” according to the news release.
Lomira is located in northeast Dodge County, just south of the Fond du Lac area.
Several Bowler staff members participated in the interview process that resulted in the Krause’s selection.
Krause will replace outgoing Superintendent Glenda Butterfield-Boldig, who announced in December she would be leaving to become the new superintendent of Clinton Community Schools in southern Wisconsin. She has served Bowler since July 1, 2021.
“Her commitment to the district has left a lasting impact,” the board said in the news release. “While she will be missed, we wish her the very best as she transitions into her new role.”
Butterfield-Boldig was chosen over Randy Bartels, the director of teaching and learning in the Marshall School District.
“Ms. Butterfield-Boldig’s vision, integrity and commitment to academic success stood out throughout the selection process,” Robert Maly, Clinton School Board president, said in a news release.
