West De Pere Invitational
Shawano’s boys and girls track teams finished last with 30 and 29 points, respectively, in West De Pere.
Three of the boys relay teams finished in third place.
Running were: the 4x100 team of Aiden Rasmussen, Bryce Lammers, Maverick Theis and Sosaeh Tepiew; the 4x200 team of Joseph Kleinschmidt, Lammers, Theis and Rasmussen; and the 4x800 team of Joshua Lesperance, Nolan Kleinschmidt, Cambren Zeuske and Kobe Bistoff.
There were also a couple of third-place finishes for the girls.
Maci Beyer was third in the high jump, and Bailey Hendricks was third in the 3,200-meter run.
Monday, May 11
Oconto Invite
The Oconto Falls girls won six events and the boys won three in Oconto.
Gracie Miller captured gold in the 100-meter dash in 13.00, and Rylie Shallow won the 200-meter dash in 27.41.
Mackenzie Lotto took first in the 300-meter hurdles in 52.77, and Ella Younkle won the long jump at 14 feet, 10 inches.
The girls’ 4x100 and 4x200 relay teams also won.
For the boys, Michael Guerts placed first in the 400-meter dash in 59.32, and Ethan Zielinski won the 3,200-meter run in 12:35.29. Samuel Feliz also won the 110-meter hurdles in 18.92.
For Menominee Nation, Bryant Waupoose won the boys 1,600-meter run in 4:55.18, and Mequonaseah Oshkosh won the high jump at 5-6.
Urijah Reevis won the girls high jump at 4-8.
Lions Invite
Bonduel’s boys and girls won their respective divisions at the Lions Invite at Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School.
The boys scored 170 points, followed by Wittenberg-Birnamwood in fourth with 62, Marion/Tigerton in fifth with 48 and Gresham/Bowler in seventh with 35.
For the girls, Bonduel had 142 points, followed by Wittenberg-Birnamwood in third with 106, Marion/Tigerton in fourth with 74 and Gresham/Bowler in sixth with 59.
Winning for the boys were:
Bonduel: Gage Scholl in the 110-meter hurdles in 18.00; Mason Ballwahn in the 400-meter dash in 50.95; Owen Burrack in the 300-meter hurdles in 45.20; Ballwahn in the 200-meter dash in 23.18; Ryan Westrich in the discus at 146-2; and Westrich in the shot put at 48-4.
Wittenberg-Birnamwood: Logan Gibson, Phoenix Horacek, Bryson Schmid and Kaden Yaeger in the 4x400 in 3:33.23.
The best finishes for Marion/Tigerton were Landen Marquardt, second in the 110-meter hurdles; Tristan Herro, second in the high jump.
For Gresham/Bowler’s boys, the best finishes were fourth place by Brett Schreiber in the 110-meter hurdles; the 4x800 team of Breckin Gleason, Brock Gourley, Derec Guthrie and Raiden Stevens; and the 4x100 team of Riley Hohensee, Mason Martin, Ethan May and Cody Mehlberg.
Wining for the girls were:
Bonduel: Lillian Burrack in the 3,200-meter run in 12:56.44; Peyton Westrich, Mariah Wondra, Amelia Wilcox and Paige Niquette in the 4x400 in 4:29.13; Josie Pawlak in the long jump at 17-6.25; and Pawlak in the triple jump at 34-9.25.
Wittenberg-Birnamwood: Harper Krull in the 100-meter hurdles in 17.88; Harper Rogowski in the 400-meter dash in 1:03.20; Krull in the 300-meter hurdles in 50.54; and Rogowski in the 800-meter run in 2:30.47.
Marion/Tigerton: Brooklyn Ahlers, Hailey Burmeister, Brittany Beechy and Kennedy Zuniga in the 4x800 in 12:00.16; and Presley Stewart-Rolfs in the discus at 125-8.
Gresham/Bowler: Emily Jensen in the shot put at 33-7.
