Elliana Memken scored Bay Area’s first two goals and assisted on a third as the Ice Bears shut out the Brookfield Glaciers 5-0.
Memken scored at 4:59 in the opening period with help from Lily Lyons. She scored again at 7:57, with assists from Addison Dahl and Aisling Buchan.
Faye Brunke scored at 1:59 in the second period. Dahl and Ava McDonald assisted.
In the final period, McDonald scored at 6:55 with Memken assisting. McDonald and Dahl then assisted as Lyons scored at 16:06.
Glaciers goalie Zoey Smeiska had 28 saves, while Ice Bears goalie Kade Kitchenmaster had seven.
Bay Area was penalized three times for six minutes, while Brookfield was called for five infractions for 10 minutes.
Next up for the Ice Bears is a Jan. 30 home game against the Chippewa Falls/Menomonie Sabers. The game will begin at 5:30 p.m.
