Oshkosh 3, Shawano/Bonduel 2
Shawano/Bonduel had six more shots on goal than Oshkosh but a third-period goal by the Ice Hawks gave the home team a 3-2 win.
Shawano/Bonduel took a 1-0 lead at 9:55 in the first period on a goal from. Blake Swedberg and assists from Gavin Hundt and Michael Dillenburg.
Oshkosh tied the game in the first period and took a 2-1 lead in the second. The Hawks tied the contest at 2-2 at 9:01 in the second period on a Cameron Schroeder goal and Hundt assist.
Oshkosh scored at 12:55 in the third period to grab the win.
There were plenty of penalties in the game. Shawano/Bonduel players were penalized 12 times for 38 minutes, while Oshkosh spent 36 minutes in the box for 14 infractions.
Hawks goalie Tyson Lyons collected 17 saves, while Ice Hawks goalie Chase Magadanz had 24.
Bay Area 6, Marquette University High School 3
A 1-1 tied after two periods gave way to seven goals in the third period as Bay Area defeated Marquette 6-3 in a nonconference game.
With no scoring in the first period and trailing 1-0 in the second, Bay Area’s Aiden Buchan tied the game at 12:19 with assists from Conner Viau and Axton Anderson.
The Storm took a 2-1 lead 45 seconds into the third period on an unassisted goal by Henry Laurent.
Maruqette tied the game 2-2, but then Bay Area ripped off three unanswered goals for a 5-2 lead. First, Laurent scored with help from Ryan Leahy and Brody Hronek at 6:24. That was followed at 10:45 with a goal from Connor Annala with help from Tyler Wempe and Laurent. Finally, at 12:13, Cash Ebeling scored with assists from Jack Stender and Grant Forgette.
Marquette scored again to make it 5-3, but Owen Selissen had an unassisted goal at 15:15 for Bay Area’s final score.
Storm goalie Landen Mason had 18 saves, and Hilltoppers goalie Rohan Malaney had 32.
Storm players were called for six penalties for 12 minutes, while the Hilltoppers had five infractions for 10 minutes.
