Shawano Invite
Shawano’s girls wrestling team place seventh with 66.5 points at their home invite.
Zennah Bosetski wrestled at 100 pounds and went 4-1, taking third place overall.
Her last match was a back-and-forth affair and was tied late in the third period with 30 seconds left. Bosetski got an escape and then hand fought the rest of the time to win 4-3.
Jenna Moede wrestled at 120. She also went 4-1 and took third place overall.
Like Bosetski, Moede also had a back-and-forth match in her third place match. She was up by 12 but then things closed considerably and the score was 12-11. she went on to win by a score of 15-11. Lauren Seehafer wrestled at 126 she went 4-2.
“She wrestled well, and even in her losses, she battled and did some great things,” coach Mike Homan said. “Lauren’s four wins tonight were all by pin, which is impressive. Lauren always wrestles hard and continues to improve.”
Ella Korth wrestled in the silver bracket and took third place as well.
