University of Dubuque
The University of Dubuque announced that Riley Engebretsen, of Gillett, has been named to the spring semester 2023 academic dean’s list.
Full-time students in good academic standing (registered for and having earned 12 or more letter grade credits for the term) who earn a term grade-point average of 3.5 or above and who do not have any grades of incomplete for the term are named to the dean’s list.
UW-Madison

Students who achieve at a high level academically are recognized by the dean at the close of each semester. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must complete a minimum of 12 graded degree credits in that semester. Each university school or college sets its own grad-point average requirements for students to be eligible to receive the distinction.
University of Alabama
A total of 12,791 students enrolled during fall semester 2022 at The University of Alabama were named to the dean’s list with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the president’s list with an academic record of 4.0.

UW-Oshkosh
University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh officials have released the names of students who qualified for the dean’s list and honor roll in spring 2023 across its three campuses.

The term grade-point average (GPA) requirement for University honor roll is 3.3; the term GPA requirement for dean’s list is 3.75 out of a possible 4.0.
To qualify, a student must have been enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits. There can be no individual grades below a “C” and no incomplete or non-reported grades at the time the process is run.
Abilene Christian University
Karsyn Delforge, of Birnamwood, and Emily Thornock, of Shawano, were named to the Abilene Christian University spring 2023 dean’s honor roll. Delforge is a senior majoring in communication disorders, and Thornock is a senior majoring in environmental science.
Delforge and Thornock were among more than 1,200 students named to the honor roll. To qualify, students must be registered for 12 or more credit hours and earn a grade-point average of 3.6 or higher.
St. Mary’s University of Minnesota
Emma Toellner, of Bonduel, completed requirements for a bachelor of arts degree at St. Mary’s University of Minnesota in April 2023.
Wisconsin Lutheran College
Trevor Stiede, of Pulaski, graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in biology. Stiede is a graduate of Pulaski High School.
UW-River Falls
The spring semester dean’s list at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls has been released and honors 1,461 students.

University of Minnesota Duluth
The University of Minnesota Duluth has announced its Dean’s List for Spring Semester 2023.
Among the local students named to the list are the following:

• Sobieski: Lauren Dixon
Students on the dean’s List have achieved a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher while earning a minimum of 12 letter-graded credits.
University of Mississippi
Quinn Cain, of Oconto, was named to the University of Mississippi’s spring 2023 honor roll lists.
Cain was named to the chancellor’s honor roll, which is reserved for students who earn a semester grade-point average of 3.75-4.0.
“The remarkable students achieving chancellor’s honor roll are among the best and brightest at the University of Mississippi,” said Chancellor Glenn Boyce. “I commend them for their hard work and dedication resulting in their outstanding academic achievements and this well-deserved recognition.”
University of Minnesota Crookston
The University of Minnesota Crookston has announced Kayla Hines, of Oconto Falls, was named to the spring 2023 dean’s list which was recently released.
To qualify, students must complete 12 or more letter-graded credits while attaining a 3.66 grade-point average.
South Dakota State University
South Dakota State University has announced Caleb Gross, of Lena, and Aidan Frederick, of Wittenberg, have been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2023 semester.
To earn dean’s list distinctions in SDSU’s colleges, students must have completed a minimum of 12 credits and must have earned at least a 3.5 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale.
Marquette University
This past spring, three area students graduated from Marquette University.
• Shawano: Kylie Guenther, Bachelor of Arts in psychology
• Lena: Sarah Sprout, Master of Arts, Communication
• Sobieski: Taylor Williquette, Bachelor of Science, Biomedical Sciences
The students were among 3,143 students who graduated from Marquette in May.
