Delta Kappa Gamma, Nu Chapter, held its May meeting at the Marion Public Library. Jenny Hangartner, library project chairwoman, reported this year’s grant recipients. Sacred Heart Catholic School Library in Shawano and Clintonville Middle-High School Instructional Media Center each received a $200 grant to purchase library materials.
Valerie Brooks and Janet Paisar were initiated as new members during the meeting. Brooks is the career and technical education coordinator for CESA 8 and CESA 9. She started her career as a high school special education teacher in Shawano and spent most of her career working for CESA 8 as special education director.
Janet Paisar is currently a second grade teacher at Rexford-Longfellow Elementary School in Clintonville. She earned her Bachelor of Science from University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh majoring in elementary education with a minor in PreK-9 language arts. Paisar earned a master’s degree in technology from Viterbo University.
Delta Kappa Gamma is an international society of key women educators. Nu Chapter includes educators in Waupaca and Shawano counties.
