Chargers boys track team places third at Merrill

Bluejay Indoor Track Invitational

Wittenberg-Birnamwood’s boys scored 67 points and placed third among five teams, while the girls tallied 23 points and finished in fifth place.

For the boys, Aydrean McGeshick won the 200-meter dash in 25.4 seconds. Logan Gibson placed third.

Winning the 4x400-meter relay in 3:44.62 were Gibson, Wesley Bay, Kaden Yaeger and McGeshick.

McGeshick also won the long jump at 19 feet 7.5 inches. Yaeger finished second, and Ethan Fischer was fifth.

Gibson won the triple jump at 41-06.50.

Yaeger was second, McGeshick as third and Gibson finished fifth in the 55-meter dash.

The team of Marshall Albrecht, Robbie Dombeck, Fischer and Bayne Liethen finished second in the 4x100-meter relay.

Placing third in the 4x200-meter relay were Dombeck, Fischer, Liethen and Bay.

Mason Wierzba placed fourth in the shot put.

Bay was fifth in the 55-meter hurdles.

For the girls, Harper Rogowski won the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:06.7. She was second in the 800-meter run.

Kelsie Davis won the shot put with a throw of 30 feet 9 inches. She also placed fifth in the 55-meter hurdles. Kalani Gauthier was fifth in the 1,600-meter run.

Red Hawk Challenge

Pulaski’s boys track and field team scored 41 points and placed fifth among 20 teams. The girls collected 30 points and finished in 10th place.

Mitchell Pilon paced the boys by winning the 800-meter run in 2:00.59.

Arden Gillen finished in second place in the 3,200-meter run. Parker Marshall placed sixth in the 1,600-meter run.

Coming in second in the 4x400-meter relay were the team of Pilon, Sawyer Goodness, Max Fredrickson and Walker Wozniak.

Placing third in the 4x200-meter relay were the foursome of Fredrickson, Goodness, Andre Burnett and Bohdan Schmidt.

In the 60-meter hurdles, Nico VanDerPerren placed fifth.

For the girls, Emerson Fabry won the 1,600-meter run in 5:24.29, and Maggie Gerth won the 3,200-meter run in 11:27.20.

Olivia Sprangers placed second in the 60-meter dash.

UW-Oshkosh Girls D2 and D3

Aliya Cox paced Suring by placing second in the triple jump. She was also sixth in the long jump.

Natalie Seibert finished fourth in the 3,200-meter run.

Placing fifth in the 4x800-meter relay were Ginger Gerndt, Morgan Suring, Ellyana Skarban and Paige Pommerich.

Shawano’s Maci Meyer placed second in the high jump.

The team of Beyer, Bailey Hendricks, Mikelah Powers and Gracie Curtin finished sixth in the 4x400-meter relay.

Gillett’s Sophie Limberg placed 13th in the 3,200-meter run.
