Capital Credit Union has announced that applications are now being accepted for the Tom Young Educational Scholarship.
This year, $2,000 scholarships will be awarded to 10 outstanding high school seniors who are members of Capital Credit Union and are pursuing higher education in the fall.
“We know the importance of opening the doors to higher education,” said Laurie Butz, Capital Credit Union president and chief executive officer. “With the Capital Credit Union Tom Young Educational Scholarship, we aren’t just helping to fund degrees; we are investing in futures and uplifting the youth of our communities as they dream big. By working together with care and providing greater access, we help inspire financial well-being for all and build a brighter, more connected future for our communities.”
The application period is open now through March 6. High school seniors who are primary members of Capital Credit Union, have maintained a minimum grade-point average of 2.5, and plan to enroll in a two-year or four-year degree program in fall 2026 are encouraged to apply.
