Bears, Eagles boys win on the court

Bonduel 66, Amherst 58

Bonduel improved to 6-0 in the conference and 8-0 overall with a 66-58 win over Amherst.

Ryan Westrich led the Bears with 18 points, followed by Quinn Wesenberg with 16, Carter Moesch with 14, Jack Zernicke with 10 and Griffin Uelmen with eight.

Menominee Nation 62, Weyauwega-Fremont 53

Menominee Nation improved to 3-4 in the CWC-East with a 62-53 win over Weyauwega-Fremont.

Ryan Corn paced the Eagles with 23 points, while Kenew Awonohopay added 18 and Anik Corn had 11.

Awonohopay and Anik Corn each pulled down eight rebounds, and Ryan Corn had four. Awonohopay led Menominee Nation with five steals, with Ryan and Anik Corn each getting one.

Ryan Corn dished out six assists, with Awonohopay and Anik Corn contributed two each.

Xavier 89, Shawano 63

Xavier led from the beginning and defeated Shawano 89-63.

Will Verkuilen led the Hawks with 22 points. Collin Dieck and Anderson Schmidt each had six points.

Verkuilen, Grayson Swedberg and Cooper Boucher each had four rebounds. Verkuilen had two steals, while Swedberg and Boucher each had one.

Austin Heling and Swedberg each had three assists, while Jackson Nordin had two.

Niagara 83, Lena 39

Lucas Mongiat scored 16 points for Lena, but the Wildcats came up short, losing 83-39 to Niagara.

Dash Comins added 15 points for Lena, and P.J. Finger had six.

Finger collected nine rebounds, while Luke Koslowsky and Mongiat had seven each. Mongiat also had five steals.

Finger contributed two assists, while Cooper Demmith and Mongiat each had one.
