Bay Area Storm won its first Fox River Classic Conference game of the season, a 3-1 decision over De Pere on Dec. 23.
Henry Laurent scored at 10:16 in the first period with assists from Tyler Wempe and Aiden Buchan.
The Storm added two more goals early in the second period. Wempe scored at 1:07 with Laurent and Cash Ebeling assisting. Then, Axton Anderson scored at 5:30 with assists from Ryan Leahy and Conner Viau.
De Pere’s only goal was scored late in the second period.
Storm goalie Justin Pintar had 21 saves against 22 shots on goal. Voyageur goalie Chase Van De Ven had 26 goals against 29 shots on goal.
Bay Area was penalized eight times for 16 minutes. De Pere was called for six infractions for 20 minutes, including a 10-minute misconduct penalty.
