Memorial services will be held for Brooklynn and Ava Wedde, infant twin daughters of Brad and Karrie Wedde, at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

Mary Catherine Hanes, 72, of the Town of Wescott, passed away Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019, at her home, surrounded by her family.

Per Mary’s wishes, no formal funeral services will be held.

Karen Nannette Galbraith, 80, of Shawano, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2019, in Oshkosh surrounded by family and friends. Karen was born in Shawano on April 10, 1939, to the late William and Viola (Passehl) Koehler.

She graduated from Shawano High School in 1957. She continued her education at Columbia School of Nursing and graduated in 1959. Karen was united in marriage to Brian H. Galbraith on April 8, 1961, at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano.

Donna Schultz

Donna Schultz, 81, of Shawano, passed away on Friday, Sept. 13, 2019, at her home, surrounded by her loved ones. Donna was born on May 31, 1938, in Oconto, to the late William and Dorothy Quandt. She is a 1956 graduate of Gillett High School, where she sang in the choir and participated as flag bearer in the band.

Joanne Aulenbacher, 80, of Shawano, passed away at home on Friday, Sept. 13, 2019. She was born on Dec. 10, 1938, in Galena, Illinois, to the late Emmett and Mary (Engel) Levins. On April 9, 1960, Joanne was united in marriage to Orval F. Aulenbacher at Little Brown Church in Nasva, Iowa. Orval preceded Joanne in death on March 30, 2009, after nearly 49 years of marriage.

Howard J. Unrath, 92, of Shawano, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, Sept. 12, 2019, at The Cottages in Shawano. Howard was a former resident of Pine Lake in the Cloverleaf Lakes.

Nicholas H. Pierce Dec. 6, 1946 – Sept. 2, 2019

Nicholas “Nick” H. Pierce, 72, of Cecil, succumbed to cancer at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King surrounded by his family Monday, Sept. 2, 2019. Born to the late William Pierce and Virginia (Cooper) Pierce on Dec. 6, 1946, in Columbus, Ohio.

Nick married his wife, Betty (Van Vuren) Pierce, on Feb. 24, 1967. Nick proudly served in the United States Army and retired a master sergeant from the Army reserves after 27 years. In 1969, Nick began his 27-year career with the Wisconsin State Patrol, moving throughout Wisconsin during his career.

Harvey C. Gardebrecht

Harvey Carl Gardebrecht, 73, of Suring, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019. Harvey was born on Oct. 22, 1945, to the late Elmer and Isabell (Massard) Gardebrecht in Suring. Harvey served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. On Oct. 21, 1967, Harvey married Constance Wegner. For 37 years, he worked at Friday Canning/Chiquita Foods. Since 1988, Harvey has kept busy with his steer farm and cash cropping. Harvey enjoyed deer camp and spent many hours building his dream pond at the farm.

Marlene A. Wold

Marlene A. Wold, age 85, of Millston, passed away peacefully at the home of her sister, JoAnn, in Menomonie, surrounded by family.

She was born Aug. 3, 1934, in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, to Nick and Veronica (Zurn) Kadinger.

Marlene held numerous jobs throughout her life, most recently as a clerk at the Cenex Convenience Store in Millston, where she made many friends.

Marlene was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling with her grandchildren, and numerous bus trips with her special friend Gert.

Jeremy A. Knope

Jeremy Alan Knope, 43, Green Bay, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2019. He was born on July 6, 1976, in Oconto to Jeffrey Knope and Cynthia Pogrant. Life will never be the same.

Jeremy attended Oconto Falls High School. He worked at Leja Distributing in Abrams as a manager and recently enrolled at NWTC to get an associate degree in IT.

Jeremy met the love of his life, Danna, five years ago and would have been celebrating their fourth wedding anniversary on Sept. 18, 2019.
