Earl D. Oakley, 77, of Clintonville, passed away early Friday morning, March 27, 2020, at Kindred Hearts Assisted Living in Clintonville.

The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home and Crematory in Clintonville are assisting with his final arrangements.

Arnie R. Pitt

Arnie R. Pitt, 73, Green Bay, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2020, of natural causes. He was born Jan. 5, 1947, in Shawano to the late Arno and Erma (Berkhahn) Pitt. Arnie was a graduate of Bonduel High School and the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

Arnie was drafted into the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany where he met his friend, Christian Hagmaier in 1967, whom he was able to visit several times in his later life. After his military service, Arnie returned home. On Aug. 30, 1969, he married Carol Strupp. She preceded him in death on March 1, 2013.

Sylvia E. Jeske, 93, of the town of Matteson, Waupaca County, passed away on Tuesday morning, March 24, 2020, at Maple Lane Health Services in the town of Belle Plaine, Shawano County, following a brief illness.

Allan C. “Bud” Luniak, 87, of Shawano, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2020. Al was born on Sept. 21, 1932, in Shawano, a son of the late Frank and Ida (Bucholz) Luniak. He graduated from Marion High School and the UW-Madison with a degree in civil engineering. Following his graduation, Al served his country in the U.S. Navy.

Arlyss June Weber

Arlyss June Weber, 77, of Tigerton, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2020, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Shawano. June was born on June 22, 1942, in Antigo, to the late Walter and Wanda (Johns) Weber. June was united in marriage to Robert Puckett who preceded her in death. She enjoyed playing dominoes, completing puzzles and was an avid reader. June also enjoyed the outdoors by planting her favorite flowers and going fishing. She enjoyed spending time with her family and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

Alvin J. Sanapaw Sr.

Alvin J. Sanapaw Sr., 56, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2020, in Keshena, surrounded by family. He was born Nov. 23, 1963, in Shawano to Joseph and Margaret (Peters) Sanapaw. Alvin lived in the Keshena area all his life. He enjoyed picking berries, going to casinos, being in the woods, gardening, cooking and shanging.

Shirley A. Retzlaff died Thursday, March 19, 2020, at Rosalia Gardens in Antigo. She was 83 years old. She was born on Aug. 22, 1936, in Pontiac, Michigan, a daughter of Thomas and Buelah (Clark) Devine. She married Clarence “Bud” Retzlaff on March 31, 1979, in Clintonville. He preceded her in death on June 3, 2008.

Nancy L. Peterson

Nancy L. Peterson, 83, of Birnamwood, died on Friday, March 20, 2020, at the Homme Home of Wittenberg.

Nancy was born on Aug. 17, 1936, in the town of Birnamwood to Edward and Hilda (Schroeder) Timm.

On Nov. 24, 1955, Nancy was united in marriage to Sydney Peterson at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Birnamwood. He preceded her in death on Feb. 11, 2007.

Murl Hahs

Murl Hahs (nee Schmidt), 92, passed peacefully March 16, 2020. Murl was born on a Friday, Jan. 13, 1928, in the township of Birnamwood to her late parents, Fred and Erma (Kufahl) Schmidt. She grew up on the “rocky” family farm in Birnamwood with her parents and 10 siblings.

Dorothy J. Trevor

Dorothy J. Trevor, 85, of Suring, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2020. Dorothy was born March 22, 1934, to the late Fred and Anna (Lambrecht) Krueger. The family lived in the Milwaukee and Oconto Falls area until they moved to Mountain in 1946. On Oct. 11, 1952, Dorothy married Bob Trevor in Mountain. Dorothy worked at different canning factories for many years, while also being a loving homemaker. She greatly enjoyed crocheting, sewing, cooking and watching soap operas. In her later years, Dorothy enjoyed making quilts for her grandchildren and spending time with them.
