A new water heater is in store for the Gillett School District.
The school board unanimously voted Sept. 16 to approve a purchase of a new water heater for the secondary school kitchen.
“Our dishwasher was not passing state regulation for heated water,” said Gillett superintendent Todd Hencsik.
After researching the issue, it was found that the water heater was the culprit for the cool water, not the dishwasher itself.
The purchase of the water heater costs $6,300. The money will be coming out of Fund 50, the designated fund for food services.
