The 26th annual Santa Parade in Shawano was a different affair this year due to COVID-19, with parade entries staying stationary while onlookers drove along the streets instead of the other way around. The event attracted hundreds of vehicles, causing gridlock on Elizabeth Street, Lincoln Street, Lieg Avenue and surrounding roads, but once vehicles got to the start of the parade at Elizabeth and Main streets, people got to enjoy Nativity scenes, lit up floats, carolers and even Santa and Mrs. Claus at the end of the route.
