UW-Eau Claire

Suring High School graduate Mitch Stegeman and Oconto Falls’ graduate Autumn Canavera represented the UW-Eau Claire track and field team at the WIAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships on May 5-6.

Stegeman won the men’s decathlon, accumulating 6,351 points.

Stegeman placed first in the discus (39.67 meters) and pole vault (4.45 meters), second in the high jump (1.9 meters) and third in the shot put (11.98 meters), 110-meter hurdles (15.56 seconds) and javelin throw (48.51 meters).

Bay College

Oconto Falls High School graduate Jake Sager played in several games for the Bay College baseball team over the past week.

Sager stole a base in a loss to Alpena on April 23. He pitched and got five outs while allowing no earned runs in another game against Alpena that day.

Sager pitched another scoreless inning in a setback to Grand Rapids on April 27. He had a hit against Grand Rapids on April 28 and pitched a scoreless inning against Grand Rapids in a second game that day.

UW-Stevens Point

Menominee Indian High School graduate Guadalupe Corn and Oconto Falls graduate Joe Adams each competed in meets while representing the UW-Stevens Point track and field teams this past weekend.

Adams placed fourth in the men’s 1,500-meter run with a time of 4 minutes, 18.3 seconds during the Green Knight Viking Duel on April 21.

St. Norbert College

Lena High School graduate Kennedy Marquardt competed in three events for the St. Norbert women’s track and field team at the Beloit Relay on April 15.

Individually, Marquardt placed seventh in the 200-meter dash (27.51 seconds) and 11th in the 100 dash (13.16). She was on the second-place finishing 4x100 relay (49.77).

Pulaski graduate Emma Wiese pitched in two games for the St. Norbert softball team last week.

UW-Eau Claire

Shawano Community High School graduate Jacob Lacy delivered a couple of hits for the UW-Eau Claire baseball team during games played last week.

Lacy singled in the team’s loss to UW-Oshkosh on April 8. In another game against UW-Oshkosh that day, Lacy doubled in a run.

Suring’s Mitch Stegeman, Oconto Falls’ Autumn Canavera and Gillett’s Ryann Wagner all competed for the UW-Eau Claire track and field teams at the Ashton May Invitational on April 7.

Wisconsin Lutheran College

Pulaski High School graduate Connor Heezen earned a pair of wins for the Wisconsin Lutheran College men’s tennis team’s dual win over Lawrence on Feb. 25.

Heezen and No. 3 doubles partner Matt Bass won 8-5. Heezen also claimed a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 6 singles.

Pulaski grad Trevor Stiede played in both of the WLC men’s basketball team’s conference tournament games last week.

St. Cloud State University

Pulaski High School graduate Jasmine Litt played in two games for the St. Cloud State women’s basketball team last week.

Litt posted 12 points, five rebounds and a steal across 20 minutes in a win over Minnesota-Crookston on Feb. 18. She played a minute in the team’s loss to Bemidji State on Feb. 16.

Wisconsin Lutheran College

Bonduel grad Kara Troxel started in both of the Wisconsin Lutheran College women’s basketball team’s games last week.

Ripon College

Gillett Secondary School graduate Angela Mosconi turned in a fourth-place finish in the women’s 5,000-meter run while representing the Ripon track and field team at the Dick Hendricks Invite on Feb. 11.

Mosconi completed the race in 20 minutes, 4.09 seconds.

St. Cloud State University

Pulaski grad Jasmine Litt played in both of the St. Cloud State women’s basketball team’s games last week.

St. Martin’s University

Gresham Community High School graduate Christian Haffner helped the St. Martin’s men’s basketball team to a win over Western Oregon on Feb. 4.

Haffner played 16 minutes off the bench, tallying three points, two assists and a rebound.

Ripon College

Wittenberg-Birnamwood grad Lauren Bahr turned in strong finishes while representing the Ripon women’s swim team during a dual loss to UW-Oshkosh on Feb. 4.

UW-Stevens Point

Oconto Falls graduate Joe Adams, Menominee Indian graduate Guadalupe Corn and Pulaski graduate Lindsey Jossie all represented the UW-Stevens Point track and field teams during the Leonard “Squig” Converse Invitational on Jan. 27-28.

Adams competed in the men’s 5,000-meter run, placing sixth in 16 minutes, 37.08 seconds.

Corn placed 10th in the women’s weight throw (13.93 meters) and 14th in the shot put (10.85 meters).
