COVID-19 has supplanted all of the routine activities of the Oconto County Public Health Department, the county’s public health director reported to the County Board on Sept. 24.
The county saw a big jump in the number of positive tests for the coronavirus in recent weeks, averaging more than 13 new cases every day, Public Health Division Manager Deb Konitzer told supervisors. And the spike escalated in the following days.
