Former Wittenberg resident Richard Nelson was recently promoted to colonel in the Air Force. Rich is the son of Jerry and Andrea Nelson, of Wittenberg, and the grandson of Betty Cowles, of Wittenberg.
David and Susan Rades were wed on a sailboat, “The Last Resort,” without judgment, unconditionally and free, Feb. 14, 2009.

Mike Sensenbrenner, local garage man and outdoor enthusiast, has invented a slick ice-fishing devise that promises to be extremely popular with winter fishermen. His improved “tip-up” moves the bait or lure in the water with a natural bobbing action. Another striking feature is that the line or equipment will not freeze up.
