Volleyball: Oconto Falls goes 4-1 at tournament

DE PERE — Despite posting a 4-1 record, Oconto Falls had to settle for fifth place at the West De Pere Tournament on Saturday. The Panthers topped Sheboygan Falls (25-22, 17-25, 16-14), Marinette (25-12, 25-21), Kiel (25-17, 25-17) and Roncalli (25-22, 25-15) but lost to Oconto (25-22, 25-20).

In the win over Sheboygan Falls, Natalie Brauer and Jayden Arndt tallied 14 and eight attack kills, respectively, to lead the Panthers. Samantha Coron and Emmie Magnin each had seven digs, while Coron and Hailey Peitersen tallied 16 and 12 assists, respectively.

Against Marinette, Kari Albrecht led Oconto Falls with six attack kills, while Arndt had four. Abbi Remic served four aces and Peitersen had three. Coron had a team-high 13 assists.

In the sweep of Kiel, Brauer tallied nine attack kills, while Magnin had five. Remic served four aces, while Coron and Peitersen recorded 14 and six assists, respectively.

In the Panthers' victory over Roncalli, Brauer posted seven kills, while Magnin and Amelia Rice each added four. Magnin and Remic each tallied five digs, while Coron and Peitersen finished with 12 and seven assists, respectively.

In the loss to Oconto, Brauer had eight attack kills, while Magnin added five kills and three aces. Brauer also had a team-leading eight digs, while McKayla Goebel had seven. Coron finished with 13 assists and Peitersen had seven.
