Used instrument auction part of Casimir Pulaski Days
Promote Pulaski, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is hosting a live used instrument auction during Casimir Pulaski Days in Pulaski on March 9.
This event will take place in conjunction with a concertina and accordion swap meet at Scolly’s Hometown Ballroom, 149 W. Pulaski St., Pulaski.
The swap meet will be held from 2-5 p.m., with the instrument auction slated for 3:30 p.m. Inspection of the instruments starts at 2:30 p.m. Anyone with instruments in good or repairable condition can bring them in between noon and 2:30 p.m. for registration. The registration fee is $10 per instrument, and all proceeds from the event will support the Promote Pulaski’s efforts to promote tourism and business in Pulaski and the surrounding areas.
Participants have the option to place a reserve of $5 on their instrument to ensure it sells at or above their specified price. Pre-owned instruments are especially beneficial for students just entering band programs.
No pianos or organs are permitted for the live auction. LaCount Auctions will be conducting the live auction, and onsite experts will be available to answer questions about instrument conditions and value.
