VOLLEYBALL

Gillett goes 2-0 at triangular

Gillett knocked off Coleman and Oneida Nation in a triangular in Oneida on Thursday. The Tigers topped Coleman 25-19, 26-24, 21-25, 25-14 and Oneida Nation 25-17, 16-25, 25-12, 26-24.

Against Coleman, Grace Wickman finished with nine attack kills, five blocks and three aces to lead Gillett. Karissa Schaal had eight attack kills and 10 digs, while Aubrey DeBauch added four attack kills. Emily Umentum led the team with 11 assists and served five aces, while Sophie Horsens had 10 assists.

Schaal led the Tigers with nine attack kills and eight digs against Oneida Nation, while Wickman, Horsens and Abby Peterson all had six attack kills. Umentum had 15 assists and eight digs, while Horsens had 12 assists and five digs. Naomi Anker served four aces and DeBauch had three.

Suring drops two matches

Suring dropped a pair of tight matches at a triangular in Niagara on Thursday. Suring fell to Niagara by scores of 25-18, 25-12, 23-25, 25-12 before a 25-17, 19-25, 24-26, 27-25, 15-11 setback to St. Thomas Aquinas Academy.

On the day, Stephanie Huth led Suring with 22 total kills and 10 digs, while Kelsey Smith had 17 attack kills and 14 digs. Jaden Bubolz finished with 14 attack kills, 33 digs and five aces.

Kate Mahoney served eight aces while also tallying 21 digs and 30 assists. Char Whiting had 21 assists and 14 digs, Grace Fisher totaled 16 digs and Paige Krueger contributed 21 digs and 11 attack kills.

Freedom 3

Oconto Falls 1

Oconto Falls came up short in a North Eastern Conference loss to Freedom on Thursday in Oconto Falls. Freedom won by scores of 25-20, 25-18, 22-25, 25-17.

Natalie Brauer finished with 13 total kills to lead Oconto Falls, while Emmie Magnin and Jayden Arndt each added eight attack kills. Magnin also served four aces, while Abbi Remic had three.

Samantha Coron led the Panthers with eight digs and 21 assists. Hailey Peitersen had 13 assists.

GIRLS GOLF

Sadowski leads Oconto Falls at invite

Kaylee Sadowski shot an 18-hole round of 113 to lead Oconto Falls at the Marinette Marines Invitational at Riverside Golf Course in Menominee, Michigan on Thursday.

The Panthers had four golfers in action, compiling a team score of 489 to take place seventh.

Grace Lemorande finished with a round of 119 for Oconto Falls, while Kearra Champeau carded a 126 and Morgan Blazek a 131.
