BOYS BASKETBALL

Oconto Falls 68

Brillion 57

Seventh-seeded Oconto Falls controlled the second half to take down 10th-seeded Brillion in a Division 3 regional quarterfinal playoff matchup on Tuesday in Oconto Falls. The Panthers trailed 30-27 at halftime.

Jarod Parsons led a balanced Oconto Falls offensive attack with 20 points, 12 of which came in the opening half. Isaac Raddatz sparked the Panthers in the second half and finished with 14 points.

Zach Parsons posted 13 points, while Mitchell Manns had 11. Manns and Raddatz hit two 3-pointers each.

Oconto Falls will travel to take on second-seeded Freedom on Friday for its regional semifinal matchup.

Gillett 71

Elcho 44

Sixth-seeded Gillett had little trouble taking down 11th-seeded Elcho in a Division 5 regional quarterfinal clash on Tuesday in Gillett.

Wyatt Herzog paced Gillett with 15 points, while Anthony Carroll and Logan Block added 14 points each.

Derek Block and Elijah Framnes each tallied 13 points for the Tigers.

Gillett will travel to take on third-seeded Florence in a regional semifinal matchup on Friday.

Suring 61

St. Thomas Aquinas Academy 38

Fifth-seeded Suring rolled to a Division 5 regional quarterfinal win over 12th-seeded St. Thomas Aquinas Academy on Tuesday in Suring.

Suring will hit the road and take on fourth-seeded Gibraltar in a regional semifinal matchup on Friday.

Wausaukee 67

Lena 41

Lena, a No. 16 seed, couldn't keep pace with top-seeded Wausaukee in a Division 5 regional quarterfinal game on Tuesday in Wausaukee.

Wausaukee will host eighth-seeded Goodman/Pembine on Friday in a regional semifinal.
