Lena posts 2-1 mark at home quad

Lena earned dual wins over Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah/Howards Grove (45-24) and Laona/Wabeno/Three Lakes (45-36) and lost to Crandon (42-34) during a quad on Jan. 14 in Lena.

In the win over Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah/Howards Grove, Luke Misco (113), Kevin Chang (126) and Sam Marquardt (132) earned wins by pin for Lena. Dylan Comins (106) won a decision, while Jadyn Belongia (120), Ayden DeCoursin (138), Jackson Dahin (195) and Frank Desjarlais (285) won by forfeit.

Against Laona/Wabeno/Three Lakes, Misco (120), Marquardt (132), DeCoursin (138), Josh Kristof (170) and Desjarlais (285) all won by pin for Lena. Comins (106) won another decision, while Chang (126) and Belongia (113) earned forfeit wins.

In the setback to Crandon, Nathan Younger (160), Cody Dellise (182) and Comins (106) picked up wins by pin. Marquardt (132) won by major decision, while Belongia (113) won by medical default. Chang (126) won by forfeit.

Gillett dropped a Marinette & Oconto Conference matchup against Gillett on Jan. 14 in Crivitz.

Austin VandeCorput tallied nine points to lead Gillett. Aydin Franti chipped in six points.
