UW-Eau Claire

Suring graduate Mitch Stegeman participated in two events for the UW-Eau Claire men’s track and field team at the UW-Oshkosh Titan Challenge on Feb. 22 in Oshkosh.

Stegeman tied for fourth place in the pole vault after clearing 14 feet, 8.25 inches.

Stegeman also took 23rd in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.28 seconds.

Viterbo

Gillett graduate Lauren Herzog competed in a pair of events for the Viterbo women’s track and field team at the North Star Athletic Association Indoor Championships on Feb. 22 in Brookings, South Dakota.

As an individual, Herzog placed ninth in the 3,000 meters with a time of 12:07.54. She was also on the 4x800-meter relay team that came in second in 10:24.49.

Wyoming

Oconto Falls graduate Dewey Krueger lost a major decision during the Wyoming wrestling team’s 17-16 loss to West Virginia on Feb. 22.

Krueger and Wyoming will compete at the Big 12 Championships on March 7-8.

UW-Platteville

Oconto Falls graduate Catt Moeller tied for fourth in the pole vault while competing for the UW-Platteville women’s track and field team at the Spartan Invitational on Feb. 21 in Dubuque, Iowa.

Moeller cleared 10 feet in the event and earned 4.5 points with her finish.

Carroll University

Oconto Falls graduate Aaron Kurth took part in two events for the Carroll men’s track and field team at the UW-Oshkosh Titan Challenge on Feb. 22.

Kurth took sixth in the 60 dash finals with a time of 7.07 seconds after coming in third in the prelims with a mark of 7.08.

Kurth also placed 11th in the 200 dash (22.78).

St. Norbert College

Oconto Falls graduates Emily Gonnering and Aaron Gonnering each competed in events for the St. Norbert track and field teams at the UW-Oshkosh Titan Challenge in Oshkosh.

Emily Gonnering took 41st in the shot put (25-6) and 50th in the weight throw (30-2.25), while Aaron Gonnering came in 47th in the 200 dash (25.1).

UW-River Falls

Oconto Falls graduate Brent Wolf participated in three events for the UW-River Falls men’s track and field team at the Minnesota Cold Classic on Feb. 21 in Minneapolis.

Wolf placed 11th in the 400 dash (55.89), 15th in the long jump (16-10.75) and 16th in the 60 hurdle prelims (10.26).
